Does EFT for Weight Loss Work?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has come in for some serious slamming by the scientific community but there are nonetheless many thousands of people worldwide who swear that this almost impossibly simple therapy works and often where all else has failed, including conventional and scientifically supported medicines and treatment systems. Let us find out if or not EFT for weight loss works.

What is EFT and How Does it Work?

EFT works on the same meridian points as acupuncture or acupressure and, like those systems, believes that the body’s energy fields can be blocked or become stagnant resulting in disease or unhealthy and destructive thoughts and emotions. These blockages can come about through external influence such as pollution and toxins but also through negative emotions and stress. Negative emotions, stress, addictions, fears and so forth can be the cause of the blockages which manifest as disease but they can also be the symptomatic results of blockages too.

In EFT certain parts of the body are tapped with the fingers while repeating positive sayings and affirmations.

EFT can be used to treat virtually every condition but seems to be particularly effective in deep rooted and long standing problems. EFT has been used to great effect on fears, anxieties, phobias, negative thought patterns, addictions, confidence issues, chronic pain, weight loss as well as many physical illnesses including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ME, arthritis, high blood pressure and MS.

Can You Lose Weight with EFT?

Anyone who has tried to lose weight over a long period of time will tell you that this can become something which impacts on every aspect of life both physically and psychologically; it can severely affect self-belief, erode confidence and become far more complex an issue than just simply what you eat. EFT addresses every single issue involved with weight loss, not just the purely physical and for this reason can be a highly effective system.

It has been used to stop cravings, reduce the intense emotional issues which can lead to overeating or unhealthy relationships with food, increase the motivation to exercise and re-balance self-limiting beliefs that can inhibit or significantly interfere with the effectiveness of any weight loss program.

EFT for weight loss can and does work and there is much evidence of positive personal testimonies to this effect. Some clinical psychologists are starting to incorporate EFT into their treatment systems following more and more evidence.

ETF Personal Testimony

I am one of the many thousands who, several years ago, undertook EFT in desperation and with complete skepticism. The results were so life changing and instant that I am now one of the gratefully cured and fully converted. I had a phobia of water so profound that if I went into the ocean up to my ankles I would start to hyperventilate. My complete cure can perhaps be demonstrated if I tell you I am now a surfer who has travelled the world riding waves.

As a freelance writer I am aware that there are those who would pay others to write positive personal, and completely false, testimonies to advertise a product. You only have my word that I am not one of those writers who would seek to mislead in this way but my aim is to share this almost miraculous, free, non-invasive therapy with any who would benefit from it. There are EFT practitioners who can be consulted and of course paid for their services but only should you wish to follow this route. EFT can be done by yourself, in the privacy of your own home and there are many resources on the Internet which will guide you in the simple steps to follow.

Skepticism is understandable but you stand to lose nothing by trying EFT. It can be completely free, it is totally pain free and non-invasive and has absolutely no side effects. On the other hand you have everything to gain. The choice is yours.
