4.) Family stress
Parents, siblings and relatives have a tendency to cause stress quite frequently. Most grown up men and women have issues with their parents, this acts as source of stress within the family. Relatives can be a leading cause of stress especially during the holiday season. Commons causes of stress within a family are as listed below
- Ill health of a family member
- Arguments or fights between parents or siblings
- Siblings leaving home
- Parental divorce
Age gap is usually the cause of friction between parents and children while competition and comparison can cause stigma between siblings. A violent household is usually the main cause of stressful reaction among children.
5.) Health related stress
Hospitalization can be a major cause of stress. Surgeries or fractures can leave a lot of pain behind that cause of a lot of stress physically and emotionally. Worrying or pondering about health is also one of the leading causes of stress for many elderly people. Common scenarios that give rise to health related stress are as listed below
- Failure to quit addictions
- Internal bodily pains and aches
- External injury through accident
- Hospitalization or visits to doctor
- Excessive weight or obesity
- Worrying about health
Several people get waking nightmares about acquiring some fatal disease like cancer, continuous worrying leads to excessive stress in these people which ironically leads to them getting ill.
