What is Karmic Healing?
With the resurgence of traditional eastern practices in modern society you would be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t heard of karma. They might not understand it, but they have a general idea. Those who wish to explore deeper into the effects of karma on our lives and futures quickly discover the idea of karmic healing. Karma influences all aspects of our lives. When past situations have disrupted our energies it is important to undergo some sort of karmic healing to move on.
What is Karmic Healing?
Karmic healing is the process of harmonizing our karma and taking steps to fulfill our karmic contract. Everyone has a karmic contract that their soul has drawn up. It outlines what you need to learn and achieve during your times on earth. Our soul fulfills our contract by experiencing certain lessons. These lessons can manifest themselves in things such as events or diseases. Depending on the soul and the situation, karmic healing can be almost instantaneous or it can take several lifetimes. How the healing takes place can vary as well. Let’s look at the different types of karmic healing.
Trial and Error Karmic Healing
This is the most common type of karmic healing. You karma will direct you to similar situations throughout your life/lives. The healing process comes from how you react to the situations and what you learn from them. Some people keep doing the same thing and end up feeling stuck in this eternally repeating situation. This is because they haven’t handled the situation in the way that their soul requires. Other people will come across a similar situation and will have learned from the past experience. They handle it in a different, more appropriate way and their karma is healed.
Spiritual Practice Karma healing
Another method of karmic healing is through regular spiritual practices, such as mediation, yoga. This allows your mind, spirit and body to be in tuned to what you really need. If you are feeling off balance, trapped or hurt a regular practice can bring you attention to these areas in you body and life. Sometimes just being attentive of these imbalances can heal them and bring them back into balance. Other times it acts as a stepping stone for the karmic healing process.
Karmic Healing through Forgiveness
Many consider going the path of forgiveness in karmic healing to be the most difficult of all. That is because it requires you not only to forgive those in the situation, including yourself, but also to truly mean it. It can’t be like when you were little and your parents made you apologize to your sibling and you said sorry, but didn’t really feel sorry. You have to mean this from the very being of your soul. That is extremely difficult, because it is hard to let go of the pain and hurt done to you. But until you do, you won’t be able to heal.
Appeal and Acceptance
This method of karmic healing involves one of two things. Either you appeal to the karmic council to relieve your that certain karma, or sometimes someone relieves you of it. You can appeal through a guided meditation or a heartfelt prayer. This doesn’t mean the council will agree to your request, but occasionally they feel you have learned enough from that situation and it is okay to move on. In the case that someone have relieved you of your karmic duty, then all you need to do is recognize and accept it. This can be difficult to do sometimes, especially if you’ve struggled a lot, but recognize the blessing and be thankful.
There are other methods of karmic healing, but those are the most universal methods to maintain balance and joy in your life.
